Cabling
Category 5/6 Standard Cabling is a standard that enables you to connect all your telephone and computer peripherals in a single, easy to manage, network cabling infrastructure.
We can help you with any cabling needs you may have. The process of installing cabling starts with floor plans of each room that requires cabling and determining where all your PC’s, printer, fax machines and phones will be. Then a central point must be designated for all the cables to run back to, ideally in a wiring closet. Then a cable is run from this point to every single outlet in your building as determined on the floor plan. We will plan the cabling routes, lay the cable, and fit cable trunking to disguise the cables.
Once the cables have been installed we will install the sockets at each end. This is where all your equipment will plug into using RJ45 cables. We will install extra sockets to accommodate future expansion in your network and furniture relocations.
At the other end we will install patch panels that are simply rows of RJ45 sockets that all the cables are wired in to. Each socket will be numbered and the patch panel will have corresponding numbers. Each socket is individually and thoroughly tested to ensure they are working correctly.
After the cabling is finished your network hubs, switches and telephone system are plugged into the patch panel using short patch leads. Then all that’s left to do is plug in your PC’s, printers etc.
Any future changes or relocations of staffing positions can now be easily managed and you are now in full control of your communications networking infrastructure.
